Putkinotko: Kuvaus laiskasta viinarokarista ja tuhmasta herrasta

By Joel Lehtonen

Putkinotko is a ramshackle croft in the lake country of southern Savo, home to Juutas Käkriäinen, his long-suffering wife and a swarm of children. Over one long summer day Juutas dodges work, brews illicit spirits and spars with his landowner, the learned and fussy Benjam Lumperoinen. Lehtonen's comic and bitter novel became a classic portrait of the Finnish rural poor.

Summary written with Claude Opus 5.5.
